Every wall project includes proper base preparation, drainage behind the wall, and compacted backfill to prevent settling and blowouts.
Do you handle drainage behind retaining walls?
Yes - drainage is the most important part of any retaining wall installation and is frequently skipped on low-bid jobs. Without a drainage layer and outlet behind the wall, hydrostatic pressure from saturated soil will push the wall out of plumb or collapse it entirely. We install aggregate drainage fill and outlet piping as part of every structural wall project.
How tall of a retaining wall can you build?
We build retaining walls up to approximately 4 feet in height with standard segmental block systems. Walls over 4 feet in Georgia typically require engineered plans, permits, and a structural footing design. We can advise you on what your specific grade change requires and coordinate with a civil engineer when needed.
