What erosion control methods do you use in North Georgia?
We install silt fencing, seeding, straw matting, erosion blankets, and riprap along disturbed slopes and drainage paths. For steeper sites or areas near creeks and streams, we use a combination of mechanical stabilization and vegetation establishment to meet Georgia EPD and local permit requirements.
Is erosion control required after land clearing or grading?
Yes. Any time you disturb an acre or more of land in Georgia, a Land Disturbance Permit (LDP) requires erosion and sediment controls to be in place before work begins and maintained throughout construction. Even smaller projects near streams or sensitive areas may require controls under local ordinance.
Can you handle both the erosion control installation and the seeding?
Yes. We install all standard erosion control measures - silt fence, check dams, riprap, and inlet protection - and handle hydroseed or conventional broadcast seeding to establish permanent cover on disturbed areas. We coordinate the full scope from disturbance through stabilization.
